In 2017 we created a Hampton’s inspired lobby at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura. The goal was to achieve a light, bright and whitewashed space, with a sophisticated yet beachy vibe as the hotel is located so close to the beach.
The style of Glee needed to complement the products selling there. So for the colour palette we went for nude, pink and blue hues to mimic the delicious french pastry – the macarrons; the chocolates, the eclairs, etc.
Regarding the materials, the marble tops and gold finishes on the furniture where chosen to match the gold-plated silverware, evoking the French opulence and adding a touch of romance.
In terms of shapes, we went for a round shape for the tables, which is perfect for conversational rooms, they maintain a causal, relaxing vibe, and they optimize the space.
The selection of the lighting played an important role here as well. We specifically went for suspended lights, ball shaped, to give the space a light and airy ambience. Besides the shape, the soft colours and materials provide a warm and cosy feeling.
